As women continue to break barriers and redefine norms, celebrating their achievements and fostering connections becomes paramount. This is especially true for us at MCO Events, a female-led events company.

In the spirit of International Women’s Day this year, the MCO Events team hosted a lavish luncheon at the Marriott Melbourne Hotel. The event was a vibrant celebration of empowerment and the invaluable contributions of women in business and beyond.

With a colour-themed dress code, attendees arrived in a symphony of shades of pink, red, and white. The ambience was enchanting, with every detail meticulously curated to create an atmosphere of sophistication and elegance.

The event included two-panel discussions, with accomplished women from diverse industries sharing their experiences, insights, and advice on navigating the professional landscape.

Our MCO Director Melissa Yu hosted both panels. The special guest speakers were Jeruisha Williams-Kerr (Kerr Wedding & Events), Danielle Weber (Danielle’s ArtWork), Laleh Mohmedi (Jacob’s Food Diaries), Sarah Viliamu (The Self Love Supply), Jess Jackson (Good Living Only), Cassidy La Creme (Cassidy La Creme Music).

These panels served as a platform for attendees to glean wisdom, exchange ideas, and forge meaningful connections, highlighting the importance of collaboration and mentorship in fostering success.

One of the most captivating aspects of the event was the sense of camaraderie and support among the guests. As they mingled and exchanged stories, it became evident that the luncheon was more than just a networking opportunity – a celebration of sisterhood and solidarity, a reminder of the collective strength that comes from lifting each other.

Central to the luncheon’s ethos was its commitment to supporting women-led businesses and entrepreneurs. From the event’s creative direction by Sarah-Jayne Kerr, the photographer, Ksenia Belova, to the videographer, Lara Sinclair Productions, capturing every moment, and the florals by Miss Fyffe, and the DJ setting the mood with her beats (Cassidy La Creme) – every supplier and business service was proudly female-led and owned.

As the event drew close, the air buzzed with excitement and inspiration. There is no limit to what we can achieve. With hearts full and spirits uplifted, guests left the event with newfound connections, renewed confidence, and a sense of belonging to a community of unstoppable women.

Until next year.
